The circuit breaker has tripped, which can cause the cylinder to stop providing warm water. A faulty thermostat can cause the immersion heater to stop working or produce water that is too hot. A damaged immersion element can cause problems towards the end of the immersion heater’s lifespan. Limescale build-up can cause the immersion heater to stop working. Tap leaks

Plenty of issues can cause a tap to drip, but for small leaks, it may be one of the most common causes – limescale. Rubber seals (also known as O-rings) can be subject to limescale. As a result of a combined build-up of calcium and magnesium, this chalk-like substance is left by hard water when it evaporates from the surface. Not only does this make the tap look bad, but it can also cause wear and tear. However, rubber seals are easy to replace if you’re familiar with plumbing processes. Many modern mixers come with an alternative to the classic tap design, including a built-in cartridge inside the tap. If you’re familiar with this model, the cartridge can be removed from the tap for descaling or a replacement to prevent drips. Toilet leaks

Experiencing water leakage around the base of a toilet can be distressing, especially if you step onto a wet floor first thing in the morning. While identifying the source of the leak might be challenging, it can normally be narrowed down to a deteriorated wax ring, a corroded bolt, or a connector piece that needs replacing or tightening. Additionally, water at the base can sometimes be caused by toilet tank condensation, a hairline fissure, or even a loose water supply line. A leaking toilet at the base can have serious consequences and shouldn’t be ignored. These seepages are often difficult to detect and, if left unaddressed, can cause extensive damage to the flooring and walls. The water from a toilet base isn’t clean to begin with, and on top of that, the excess water can create a moist environment that promotes the growth of mold and mildew, which can cause allergic reactions. Unvented cylinder leaks

The issue of leaking or underperforming unvented cylinders is not something we are faced with on a regular basis, especially as our primary products are copper cylinder which are proven to be more durable than stainless steel cylinders and less susceptible to corrosion. However, on the very rare occasion, a client does experience a problem, the cause can generally be pinned down to one common factor – the cylinder not being serviced annually. As a pressurized unit, the performance of the connections, pressurized valves and expansion vessel will play a major role in preventing issues occurring. Water heater problems

One of the most frustrating problems is when you turn on the tap, but no hot water comes out. This can be caused by a variety of issues, such as a faulty heating element, a broken thermostat, or a tripped circuit breaker. Running out of hot water in the middle of a shower is not only inconvenient but also uncomfortable Additionally, sediment build up in the tank can also cause insufficient hot water. Flushing the tank regularly can help alleviate this issue. A leaking water heater can lead to water damage in your home and should be addressed promptly. Leaks can occur due to a variety of reasons, such as a damaged drain valve, a faulty temperature and pressure relief valve, or a corroded tank.
